VIDALIA, TOOMBS COUNTY, GEORGIA - Mrs. Margaret Nadine Campbell, 77, died Tuesday. Survivors: husband, William T. Campbell; daughters, June C. (John) Jones and Carol (Berry) Crosby; son, William S. Mrs. Margaret Nadine Campbell, age 77 of Vidalia, died Tuesday, April 13, 2010 in the Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia after sudden illness. She was a native of Buchanan, Michigan, grew up in San Francisco, California, and had lived in Vidalia most of her life. She retired from TG&Y, and the Super Ten in Vidalia. She was a Pink Lady at Meadows Regional Medical Center for several years, an active member of the Smith Street Baptist Church in Vidalia since 1970, a member of the Maratha Sunday School Class and served on numerous committees, including Bereavement and the Bus Ministry.
Mrs. Campbell is survived by her husband, William T. Campbell of Vidalia, two daughters, June C. (John) Jones of Adrian; and Carol (Berry) Crosby of Hazlehurst, one son, William S. Campbell of Vidalia, one sister, Bobbie Hughes of Vidalia, one brother, Harold Knapp of York, Pennsylvania, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 17th at 10:00 am in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Chris Sheffield and Reverend Jimmy Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Pinecrest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Smith Street Baptist Church, 503 Smith St., Vidalia, GA 30474.
