Collins, Mr. George L. Davis, age 65 of Collins, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010 in the Tattnall Healthcare Nursing Home in Reidsville after an extended illness. He was a native of Toombs County; living in Savannah for twenty-two years, and moved to Collins in 2000. He was a service station attendant, also was self employed, and attended the Collins Full Gospel Church in Collins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Merlon Walter Davis and Cornelia Sally Daniels Davis, and a brother, Willie Davis.
 
Mr. Davis is survived by one daughter, Theresa Davis of Stark, Florida, two sons, Dewayne Davis and George Davis of Moultrie, three sisters, Betty D. Harrelson, Melba Davis, and Sharon (Eric) Mack all of Collins, three brothers, Johnny (Pam) Davis and Jehugh Hall Davis of Collins, and Billy Davis of Vidalia, several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
 
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 23rd at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Andrew Nelms officiating. Interment will follow in the Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery.
 
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
